Time to Build a Windmill

It’s time to build a windmill. Windmills can be micro size or huge and building them can range from super simple to complex. One idea is to build a micro windmill to add to solar panels. Harnessing the power of the wind (and other of Earth’s natural resources) is the responsible thing to do.

The cost of building a windmill varies on the size and complexity. One concept is to add wind power capabilities with a smaller windmill to your existing solar power efforts. Having a windmill is a great idea for night power. Why? At night the sun is obviously gone. Your solar panels aren’t really doing anything. There could be wind though right?

When doing any green DIY project, thinking of safety is a must. As most of us know, you need to the right tools. This should be your first project check. You also want to check your windmill plans to ensure they are good.

Build a Windmill

When you go to build a windmill, you’ll need to be familiar with some windmill components, such as the base, the tower, the wind blades and the gearbox for movement (nacelle). You’ve probably seen many pictures of windmills, so you know these components come in all sizes. It might be common knowledge, but I feel the need to say it. Make sure you have all your windmill parts before starting.

Relying on the power company for everything, including an over-priced energy bill, is yesterday’s news. By using the Earth’s natural power, you can reduce your power bills. We can all live better by harnessing the Earth’s power Our future and our kid’s futures rely on responsible people like you using the Earth’s natural powers. There’s lots of DIY windmill projects and information out there.
